## About The Property

FSC Margam Park Discovery Centre sleeps 142 guests across 33 en-suite bedrooms. The centre nestles on the narrow coastal plain and southern slopes of Mynydd Margam. It provides easy access to a wide variety of sites on the Gower AONB a few miles to the West, the Heritage Coast to the East and Brecon Beacons to the North.

Accommodation is spread across 4 corridors:

Red: 7 x 4-bed rooms

Yellow: 1 x 6-bed, 7 x 4-bed rooms

Blue: 2 x 6-bed, 7 x 4-bed rooms

Green: 2 x 6-bed, 7 x 4-bed rooms

These can be used as single, twin, three or four bed rooms as the beds in each room are designed to fold away to maximise space. Five of these rooms have been designed specifically for accessibility with adapted bathroom facilities.

All areas of the centre are suitable for accessibility and there is a lift to the first floor accommodation. There is a licensed bar on site, bring your own alcohol is not permitted. There are a range of recreation areas including two common rooms with digital TV, board games and hot and cold drinks making facilities.

The dining rooms seats 110 comfortably, 120 max. with large wooden tables and benches.

There are five class/workrooms with interactive whiteboards and internet access, seating 25-30 people. There isn’t a dedicated conference space other than the dining room which can be utilised to seat up to 120.

There is also a large outdoor space with footballs, rugby balls, rounders and cricket sets available. Margam Country Park is fully accessible to visitors to the Centre and hosts a variety of attractions. There is an outside bike rack to accommodate 5 bikes. Commercial filming is permitted - please enquire for more information.

Activities can be arranged for both adults and children (subject to availability), these are chargeable and must be booked in advance. Please ask for more information.

Local area – Asda supermarket (Pyle) 2.7miles, more banks/shops in Port Talbot 15mins drive away, Twelve Knights pub (Margam, Port Talbot) 2.4miles, Rose and Crown pub (Nottage) 7.7miles, Prince of Wales pub (Kenfig) 3.7miles. These can only be driven to.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Assistance dogs only.
- **Accessibility:** All areas of the centre can be accessed, lift to first floor in accommodation.
- **WiFi:** Wireless Internet available in class/work rooms, common rooms and in some bedrooms. Mobile signal varies depending on network.
- **Kitchen:** The centre is only available to hire on a catered basis. Self-catering is not permitted.
- **Dining Room:** Large glass dining room that seats large groups up to 120. Large wooden tables and benches, you are welcome to bring your own high-chairs.
- **Sitting Room:** There are two common rooms with digital TV, board games and hot and cold drink making facilities.

- **Bedrooms:** Bedrooms have between four and six single beds as bunks. Each bed has a reading light. Each room has storage, a desk and a chair. All rooms en-suite.
- **Linen:** All linen provided. Please provide your own towels.
- **Bathrooms:** All bedrooms are en-suite with shower, sink and toilet. Five rooms have been designed specifically for accessibility with specially adapted bathrooms.
- **Children's Facilities:** On site, common rooms with activities and television. There is a small rare breed farm and adventure playground in the park.
- **Outdoor:** There is a large outdoor space with footballs, rugby balls, rounders and cricket sets available.
- **Parking:** Yes - car parking for approx. 30 vehicles.
- **Smoking:** Smoking/vaping is only permitted in the designated smoking areas outside. Non-smoking building.
