FSC Uplands is a self-contained Georgian house situated within the grounds of FSC Slapton Ley Field Centre, surrounded by beautiful countryside. It has a private back garden – fully fenced with a barbecue and garden furniture to enjoy the evening sun.
The property sleeps 27 guests in 8 bedrooms – 1 en-suite, the others with shared toilet/shower facilities. The bedrooms are all furnished with either single beds or bunkbeds. 2 of the bunkbeds have a queen size bed on the bottom bunk. Ground floor: 2 x 4-beds, First floor: 1 x single en-suite, 1 x twin, 1 x 3-bed, 2 x 4-bed, 1 x 5-bed. Sorry, but being such an old property, we have not been able to make the house and rooms accessible.
It boasts a large kitchen/dining area with seating for 27. The kitchen was redecorated in 2020 and has a large fridge freezer, large oven, dishwasher and microwave. It is situated on the first floor to make the most of the countryside views. There is ample room in the lounge for everyone with a TV, sofa seating for 8 and benches/chairs for further seating.
WiFi is available throughout the house, mobile signal varies depending on network. Parking is located at the main Centre adjacent to the property. There are 4 allocated parking spaces for Uplands guests.
Slapton Village is a short walk away which provides a range of facilities including a community village shop selling fresh produce and two pubs (the Queens Arms and Tower Inn). For walkers and cyclists both the Southwest Coast Path and NCN 28 run close by. Slapton Beach is a fantastic 3-mile fine shingle beach located just 10 minutes by foot from the property or 2 minutes by car. The property is surrounded by the Natural Nature Reserve and is located next to the largest natural freshwater lake in the south west.
This is an excellent property for families and groups of friends who want to be close to the sea and explore the surrounding Nature Reserve.
