## About The Property

Situated in the heart of the secluded Sussex countryside, Gaveston Hall is the perfect place in which to escape the hustle and bustle of urban life.

Tucked well away from the major highways in the pretty village of Nuthurst, its 100 acres of private woodlands, meadows, lakes and streams offer a peaceful and protected environment.

The accommodation is in bunk beds, mostly, with some single and twin rooms for adults accompanying children. All rooms have central heating.

Your children can discover the secrets of the countryside and perhaps meet the Hall’s permanent residents: the timid deer that roam wild, the wary badgers in their sett, the foxes and bats in their woodland retreats, and the abundance of life both in and out of the water. There are chickens, goats and horses to feed on the farm.

Camp fires and camping on site if required. Swimming pool available during summer months only.

The accommodation is divided into a dormitory block with upstairs bedrooms and four smaller chalet type buildings with access for wheelchair users in one chalet. Each chalet has two showers, two toilets and three wash basins.

- **Dog Friendly:** Pet dogs welcome if kept on a lead as we have animals on site such as goats and chickens.
- **Accessibility:** Access for wheelchair users to all downstairs areas such as the games room and the dining room.
- **WiFi:** WiFi access is available.
- **Kitchen:** The kitchen is well equipped for any event.
- **Dining Room:** Victorian dining room for approx 50 people or dining in the large hall for up to 120.
- **Sitting Room:** Comfortable sitting room with fridge, kettle microwave and TV.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** There is a TV in the staff room.
- **Games Room:** Pool tables and table tennis are available.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Central heating throughout.
- **Bedrooms:** The bedrooms are mostly multi-bedded (dorms sleeping 16, 16 and 15) with some single, double and twin rooms available.
- **Linen:** Sheets on all beds but most people bring their own from home. Alternatively, we can supply sleeping bags or duvets.
- **Bathrooms:** Indoor showers (3) and toilets (6) and outside toilet and shower block.
- **Children's Facilities:** Outdoor play area with tyre swings and climbing net football field, woodland play areas and stream walking. Chickens, goats and horses to feed.
- **Outdoor:** Football, picnic area, tennis. Camp fire site, fishing lake. Camping area BBQ Hog roast cycle track from Nuthurst to Shoreham, water sports.
- **Swimming Pool:** Indoor pool available in the summer months.
- **Parking:** There is parking for several cars and coaches.
- **Smoking:** This is a no smoking site.
