We are an ideal venue for a school, youth or community group or college – activity week, field studies week, corporate team building or a retreat. We can deliver a comprehensive adventure activity programme from Yr4 upwards or field study weeks at GCSE or A level. We can also simply provide full board for you to then deliver your own programme. Ghyll Head is a Victorian house adapted for use by organised groups and accommodates 60 residents in a range of bunk bedded rooms with a number of twin rooms for accompanying staff. The dining room, wash up room, games room and lounge are all well equipped. Located a few miles south of Bowness the centre is ideal for the central and south lakes. We deliver outdoor adventurous activity weeks and weekends in the Lake District National Park. Our focus is personal development, teamwork skills along with outdoor activity skills for both pupils and staff. A venue for INSET training for school staff or parent governor focus groups? Call us. All equipment, qualified instruction accommodation, local transport and food included. We have on site barrier free accommodation in a modern bungalow, along with a barrier free boathouse on Windermere allowing access to the lake and our water activities. The bungalow accommodation, as well as a separate lodge, can be part of a larger package allowing for 97 beds in total. We accommodate a range of needs, diets and activities to suite a range of groups, call us we’ll be pleased to create a bespoke package to suite your needs and budget. We are open year round 7 days a week and by negotiation self catering is an option. We may stipulate a minimum number for a booking or, an all up minimum price to have sole occupancy of the house. Up to 24 in Bungalow comfortably. - **Sitting Room:** Both House and Bungalow have a living room with excellent views of western fells and fantastic sunsets. Comfy seating and space to gather. - **TV and Music Facilities:** TV and DVD player in living room. - **Games Room:** Table football and pool table in House, pool table in Bungalow. - **Heating and Open Fires:** The House and Bungalow enjoy central heating throughout. - **Bedrooms:** Modern comfortable bunk beds. House: 12 rooms - 6 x 6 beds, and 6 x 4 beds. Bungalow: 7 rooms for up to 29. Add adjacent Lodge for 12 additional beds. - **Linen:** We can provide all bed linen.
