Converted from an old hay barn, the bunkhouse hostel accommodates up to 18 people in 3 rooms, each with 6 full size bunks. There is central heating throughout.
Catering for those guests who require budget accommodation, there are 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets, a well equipped kitchen and comfortable sitting and dining area with Freeview TV and lockable storage compartments.
The kitchen, dining and lounge area are on the first floor and to the rear is a large decking area where guests may enjoy the evening sun and access the stables by the wooden staircase.
There are drying and laundry facilities and cycle storage available.
The bunkhouse is ideal for families wishing to explore the area, for school and youth groups, or for groups of friends enjoying a few days away together. Breakfast, dinner and packed lunches can be arranged for groups, if required.
There are also two self-catering cottages, all carefully renovated to retain their original features. Each is centrally heated and furnished with locally made pine furniture. There is a colour TV and DVD and each cottage has a wood burning stove.
For those who would rather be catered for than to cater for themselves, Gibbs Hill Farmhouse offers you a warm northern welcome to a traditional, beautifully decorated farmhouse with bed and breakfast and evening meal. Five en suite bedrooms are available, three large en suite double-bedded rooms and two large en suite twin-bedded rooms.
Gibbs Hill Farm is ideally placed to explore Hadrian's Wall, as well as the beautiful coastline and historic castles in the area.
Local activities include free private fishing, walking, cycling and bird watching and there are a range of Northumberland's heritage sites, which are close to the farm.
