Gibliston Mill began life as a stables, with horses and carts coming and going through what have become the beautiful windows of the kitchen and downstairs bedroom. 25 years after it was converted, Charlotte has taken on the house from her mother, Jane, and prepared it for families and friends to enjoy for celebrations, holidays and gatherings.

This holiday house near St Andrews has 5 bedrooms: a twin, a double, 2 en suite rooms and a master bedroom, complete with beams, a vintage bathtub and views on 3 sides onto the courtyard, garden and over to the Glen. Depending on the time of year, you will be met by daffodils and little lambs, an abundance of pink roses lining the tennis court or golden beech trees and endless brambles. And whenever you come, you will be free to explore the woods and the fields down to the Walled Garden, which has stunning views of the Bass Rock and May Island.

The Aga is always on, ready to warm you up after an afternoon at Elie beach, or make hot chocolates to enjoy round the fire pit. There is also an open fire in the library and space for the grown ups to sit round it enjoying a glass of something while the children pile into the playroom to watch a video (there is quite a collection) or play games. Dogs are welcome, although we ask that you keep them in the kitchen when they’re not roaming about the garden. If you're walking them in the surrounding fields when the sheep and lambs are there, we also ask that you keep them on a lead.

Charlotte, who grew up at Gibliston and plans to make it her own family home one day, is happy to answer any questions you have and will provide recommendations of what to see and do in the local area. Check in will be arranged through her property manager and you will have both of their numbers during your stay.
