Gite Dordogne has a range of family friendly facilities including a huge outdoor pool, hot tub and tennis court, as well as a state of the art Games Room with a 3 metre cinema screen. Everyone will love sitting down together at the Banquet Table for a long family dinner, or at the 4 metre long breakfast bar for an informal lunch. Why not hire in a private chef to prepare a special celebration feast? The shaded terrace is a highlight offering space for al-fresco dining as well as outdoor lounge seating. Prepare a barbecue in the new Bakehouse and salads in the outdoor kitchen prep area, or gather around the firepit at night for a glass of local wine. Christmas and New Year would be fabulous here too.
The lounge has a vast sofa and large TV for evening relaxation, with a central brick chimney. Integrated into the wall from the master bedroom is an impressive solid oak balcony, complete with a Fireman's Pole for a quick descent and some high jinx - bound to be a winner with children of all ages!
Bedrooms are named after wines, relaxing spaces with vaulted ceilings, balconies and great views (see photos and website). These are configured to suit a mixed group, offering 2 family rooms, a romantic 4 poster and a ground floor room, with plenty of modern high end bathrooms.
Gite Dordogne has lots to keep visitors busy on site, but if you can tear yourselves away a trip into St Yrieix La Perche is suggested to enjoy old churches and historic attractions from its Medieval back story. Jumilhac Le Grand is nearby and a wander around this picturesque village with a gorgeous chateau is recommended.
