Glanusk Lodge, a holiday house in the Brecon Beacons National Park, is perfect for a rural and peaceful break for family groups, reunions with friends or a special occasion. Deep in the heart of Glanusk Park, Glanusk Lodge is situated in the beautiful countryside of the Usk Valley. The Estate, also a renowned wedding venue, is within walking distance of Crickhowell, 15 minutes drive from Abergavenny and 20 minutes from Brecon.
Glanusk Lodge sleeps 12 with 3 bedrooms on the ground floor and 4 on the first floor, with additional accommodation on the estate. All rooms have bed linen and towels supplied.
The well-equipped kitchen has a 4-oven Aga, (operating September - April), fridge, freezer, electric double cooker, dishwasher and microwave. There is a washing machine and dryer in the utility room and a second fridge/freezer.
The drawing room with spectacular views has a flat screen telly, Sky TV and DVD player, an open fire and French doors opening onto the paved terrace and garden.
The dining room seats up to 16 people also with French doors onto the terrace and garden. The terrace has outdoor seating, a fire pit and a barbecue. Boules and croquet equipment are also provided.
All Glanusk holiday cottages are self catering; however, the team can organise catering for you or recommend places to eat, with the Estate pub, the Nantyffin Cider Mill, within walking distance. They can also organise fishing, tours of the Estate and suggest great walking, cycling and dog friendly routes, point you in the direction of boat and canal trips or suggest a waterfall route.
The Estate is renowned for its trees which include over 200 different species and cultivars of Quercus (oak) and historic CADW Grade II or Gradelisted buildings, including the Tower Bridge over the River Usk, ancient Celtic standing stones, the private church, farm buildings and stables, all either Grade II listed or Grade II starred.
