Glyntawe Outdoor Centre has the perfect set up for a residential trip away. With 4 bunkhouse style rooms on the ground floor, accommodating up to 18 people, and 7 Deluxe En-suite & shared bathroom rooms on the first floor. We have self catering facilities available or if you would like to take some of the stress out of your trip, our in house chef will be happy to provide a delicious menu for you.

We can offer a whole host of activities and study options for visiting groups. The location lends itself well to geography and geology groups of all ages, with glaciated valleys, river valleys, limestone pavement, large cave complexes, waterfalls, visible faults, mountains and woodlands all within a short distance.

Aside from its natural beauty, the Brecon Beacons National Park offers a step into its industrial past. South Wales played a leading role in the Industrial Revolution, which shaped the landscape with limestone quarries, coal and silica mines. A number of impressive heritage sites, including Glyn-Neath Gunpowder Works and Blaenavon Ironworks, provide a window into this important era. We can also provide visits to some of the historical features such as castles, Iron-age hill forts, Roman encampments and standing stones.
