Welcome to The Gothic Mansion, Bristols best kept secret! The Gothic Mansion is a fine grade 2 listed former convent situated close to the the heart of Bristol, and benefitting from magnificent views across the city. The Mansion is a unique and special place which provides much needed accommodation for large families who wish to explore the celebrated city of Bristol.

Families from all over the world come to stay at the Mansion. The Mansion is particularly popular for long weekends as a family retreat. We also offer great midweek deals. Groups will enjoy exclusive use of the mansion, which easily accommodates a large extended family gathering.

This wonderful historic building has been lovingly restored to its former glory. The house boasts superior accommodation for those wishing to have the flexibility of self catering in a truly memorable setting. Set high above the city in sumptuous surroundings, the mansion is a hidden oasis from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, nestling in its own private, tree lined, high walled, gated grounds.

Magnificent well-proportioned reception rooms offer both style and comfort, with the many period features complemented by fine antiques and original paintings. The bedrooms are unique and tastefully decorated and all have views of the gardens. Set over 4 floors of meandering corridors, you can rest assured that your children can explore in safety.

The marble bathrooms set high standards superior to most hotels. Our guests have exclusive use of the jacuzzi room with its ambient mood lighting. Relax, chat and catch up or unwind whilst playing a frame of snooker. Fully self catering, the mansion encompasses a huge kitchen convenient for preparation of any type of meal.

Conveniently located a short drive out of Bristol, there's easy access to a superb day out at Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Glastonbury or Bath. In addition there are several world class attractions in the city centre. Whatever your age you will find much to discover in and around Bristol.

We pride ourselves on creating the kind of ambience where guests feel they can make themselves at home. We are always on hand should you need us.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Well behaved pets welcome, strictly by arrangement. This may include an additional discretionary deposit.
- **Accessibility:** Large ramp access available for front door. Please notify in advance. Our halls are wide but this is listed building and not fully disabled accessible
- **WiFi:** Good mobile reception. Free WiFi. Good in most areas of the building.
- **Kitchen:** Fully self catering, our commercial kitchen has vast convenient preparation surfaces, a range cooker, and convection ovens as well as dining for 14.
- **Dining Room:** Our Grand Hall will comfortably sit up to 50, dining in elegant surroundings under gorgeous crystal chandeliers. A further 30 seats on request.
- **Sitting Room:** Chesterfield sofas adorn the lounge seating 22. Huge open fireplace, piano, TV, DVD, CD, lots of DVDs to choose from, books and board games.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** iPod docks are provided in the Grand Hall. CD players in the lounge as well as TV, DVD and lots of children's DVDs.
- **Games Room:** Snooker table, darts board, table football as well as board games and play station. We have many children's DVDs and story books too.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Period fireplaces and gas central heating throughout.
- **Bedrooms:** 14 bedrooms: 8 double beds, 2 king size 4 poster beds, 1 queen 4 poster bed, 28 singles. Addition double sofa bed and 3 Z beds.
- **Linen:** We use Egyptian cotton linen on our beds. We are told by our guests, time and time again, that our beds are snuggly. Please bring bath towels.
- **Bathrooms:** Marble jacuzzi room with ambient lighting, walk-in showers and wet rooms and several other bathrooms making the mansion suitable for large groups.
- **Children's Facilities:** Set in one acre of tree-lined, high walled and high gated secure gardens. Children can explore the gardens in safety.
- **Outdoor:** Tree-lined grounds and car parking. 20 chairs and tables, stone table with seating, swing, pagoda seating.
- **Parking:** We can offer secure well lit car park on our grounds for up to 30 cars. We also offer additional parking inside the main gates.
- **Smoking:** We have a strict non-smoking policy in all areas of the mansion. We do offer smoking in basement area.
