Grange Farm Holiday Cottage is a child friendly mid 19th Century Yorkshire stone farmhouse, well-furnished and full of character. The house sleeps 4 to14 people, and is excellent for families and friends wanting to holiday together. It is perfect for multi generational holidays and has 5 bedrooms and 2 sitting rooms. Grange Farm is situated on the Yorkshire coast between Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay - a great location for exploring the moors too, and accessing fantastic walking and cycling.
Ground floor:
The first sitting room has leather sofas, a 2 seater and a 3 seater sofa, as well as 2 high back chairs. There is a TV, DVD player, and radio/CD players in this room. The second sitting room (we call it the yellow room) also has leather sofas: 2 x 3 seater sofas, and a 2 seater sofa, as well as several pieces of other furniture. The "yellow room" has a high vaulted beamed ceiling.
The spacious dining room has a wood burning stove and seating for 14. There is a book library incl. children's books and a stereo (bluetooth) too. The well equipped pine kitchen is next to the dining room. There is a separate utility room which has a washing machine, tumble-dryer, iron and ironing board. A separate downstairs toilet is also located in the utility room.
The house also has a large conservatory with 2 corner sofas and the conservatory gives entrance to a south facing fenced garden and patio with garden furniture and barbecue.
First floor:
- Family room with double bed and bunk-beds, and one family room with king size bed and bunk beds. Please note that the top bunk is not suitable for children under the age of 6
- 2 twin rooms
- Bathroom with bath (shower over bath), sink and WC
- Second separate WC
Second floor:
Attic conversion (sloping ceiling), into an excellent bedroom with a king size bed, and en suite bathroom/WC
Due to the age of the farmhouse, Grange Farm holiday cottage has some steps on the ground floor, as well as a few narrow and low doorways downstairs and upstairs, which gives the property its unique character.
