The location at the foot of Howgill Fells in Cumbria's Eden Valley is popular with walkers and cyclists and is a wonderfully peaceful and tranquil spot. Enjoy the feeling of everyone being together in one gorgeous Victorian stone barn while offering privacy via the separate cottage accommodation. The Haystore offers inside dining for all guests with an extra table and there is outdoor furniture and a barbecue for alfresco dining. There are 3 pubs nearby, all within walking distance and the whole place is dog and family friendly. You'll see red squirrels in the garden and the internal styling is impeccable.
Each cottage kitchen is extremely well equipped for self catering with sociable open plan spaces. The Haystore and Byre have upside down design so living areas upstairs enjoy panoramic landscape views and 1st floor access to elevated terraces. Mezzanines provide cosy spaces for catch ups or special spots to curl up with a good book. Lounges are light and airy and all have vaulted ceilings, feature stone fireplaces and wood-burning stoves, ideal environments for reconnecting with friends and loved ones.
All bedrooms can be set up as superking or twin and those in the Byre and Haystore are all ground floor with en suites including whirlpool baths. The Carthouse has a more traditional layout with ground floor kitchen, diner, living room and wet-room. Bedrooms and the master bathroom are on the upper floors.
The Eden Valley has some lovely attractions and excellent walks including the Eden Viaducts and Cautley Spout. There are plenty of nearby market towns to explore, including Kirkby Stephen offering lots of independent shops. The Yorkshire Dales and Lake District are close by and offer lots of highlights such as Ribblehead Viaduct Malham Cove.
