It's a short distance from Gunton Train station where you can hop on a train to visit Sheringham, Cromer, North Walsham and Norwich, or take a steam train from Sheringham to Weybourne. The Green House is Grade II listed with many original features including a side door believed to date back to 1590, an Albion Rose fireplace detailing dated at around 1600 and a priest cupboard which we understand dates back to the time of Cromwell. The amount of history and heritage on display in every room is spellbinding and the house full of stories. On the first floor are 5 guest bedrooms each with a private en suite bathroom and all finished to an exceptional standard. These are all double rooms of very good proportions with 2 being of such a size that most hotels would class them as suites. All are light and airy with views across the countryside and village and with an array of period features as elsewhere in the house. Bedroom Format 1: Family Room- Superking plus 2 singles. 2: Twin 3 and 4: superking plus 1 single, 1 with with ensuite (bath & shower), flat screen TV 5: double room with ensuite shower and bath, flat screen TV 6: king with ensuite bath and shower, Flat screen TV 7 and 8: double with ensuite shower, TV Outside the property once again delivers. The private rear garden has been expertly landscaped to provide intricate formal gardens and various terraces to sit and enjoy the sun. There are well stocked raised flower beds and various fruit trees providing produce for the kitchen as well as giving privacy for guest to be able to relax in peace. Parking is available for 8 vehicles. Set in the North Norfolk village of Thorpe Market, and only 5 miles from Cromer and the coast, this is a great location for visiting guests. The well known Gunton Arms pub and restaurant, and the Suffield Arms, are a short distance away and fresh produce can be bought locally. A larger selection of services can be found at Cromer and North Walsham.
