What could be more delightful than a holiday in a renovated church and coach house located in the heart of Northumberland National Park? Both properties are architecturally inspired, retaining beautiful original features but benefiting from open-plan living and contemporary style. Greystead is a great choice for families, a multi-generational group, or friends to get together to celebrate a special occasion in two properties close to each other but separate enough to benefit from a little privacy where required.

The Old Church is an upside-down conversion with bedrooms on the ground floor and a fantastic mezzanine living area offering hill views through arched windows or over the balcony. Stunning traditional highlights include a fully-restored Victorian stained-glass window and a Gothic archway. The Coach House boasts high ceilings, wooden beams, and gorgeous fireplaces. Kitchens are very well equipped to prepare food for a group, and pubs serving excellent food are a short drive away.

Each house has sociable inside dining, and for dining together for all 14 we can arrange an extra table. Lounges are hugely comfortable rooms to relax in after dinner on squashy sofas next to the wood stoves. The Old Church has an additional sitting room on the ground floor, a great option for a mixed group. All seven bedrooms are luxury spaces with elegant style and decor. Ground floor bedrooms in the Old Church include three ensuites, handy for anyone in the group less mobile.

Outside spaces overlook picturesque countryside and are fantastic places for everyone to gather. The walled garden at the Coach House is a beautiful and secure spot for kids and dogs to play. The sunken lawn at the Old Church is perfect for family activities and sports, followed by a barbecue and evening drinks. Fishing is available, with on-site access to the North Tyne River. Nearby Kielder - famous for its location below the darkest skies in England - offers the spectacular Kielder Water and Forest Park. The Old Church has a stargazing platform, and Kielder Observatory is minutes away.
