Grittleton House is primarily a youth group accommodation provider but also lends itself to conferences and business events.
Grittleton House is a Victorian manor house set in 35 acres of playing fields and parkland. Formerly a private school, our accommodation offers a child-friendly environment in which to rest and relax. The site is safe and secure, with CCTV coverage and coded front gates and doors into all buildings. Our rural location means group leaders can relax in the evenings as well!
Multiple tennis courts and an indoor sports dome offer the opportunity to plan activity days on site. We have links with professional coaching organisations who can create programmes on site during your stay, tailor-made for your group activities. The grounds are perfect for any self-led activities that you wish to carry out during your stay. We also have a games room for rainy days.
20 miles east of Bristol and with Bath only 15 miles away, Grittleton House is a perfect location from which to explore the south west and the many attractions the area has to offer. Places of interest nearby include the world-famous prehistoric monument, Stonehenge, and beautiful Cotswold villages. The SS Great Britain and Clifton Suspension Bridge, both examples of the works of the renowned Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, are in Bristol, while Bath offers famous Roman baths and pump rooms. We can help organise trips to any of these attractions if required.
The manor house itself offers a chance to stay in an historic building with a great atmosphere and ambience. We have rooms available for meetings, activities, break out sessions, relaxing, and teaching and learning - all available as part of your hire. Also a cinema and disco room for evening entertainment.
We are able to provide meals cooked on site by our catering team. Packed lunches and barbecues are also available.
