Perched high on the hill outside the 'Little white town' of Bideford, with far reaching views over parkland & estuary & within a short drive of Devon's never-ending sandy beaches, Hallsannery is an elegant, yet welcoming, backdrop for family or friend get togethers, celebrations, holidays, weddings & corporate events.

Painstakingly refurbished in 2013, Hallsannery House combines Georgian splendour with modern comfort, making it the ideal location for a weekend, a week or longer! With 11 gorgeous bedrooms, all with super-size beds & luxurious en suites, three spacious reception rooms including a games room with pool table & toys, a large chandelier-lit dining room & impressive country kitchen, there is plenty of space for everyone to entertain, relax, party & escape.

For larger groups, the adjacent Coach House provides additional self-contained accommodation, sleeping a further 7 guests in 4 cosy, 'beamed' bedrooms. Only rented out with the main house, your group is guaranteed exclusive use of the properties, grounds & facilities.

Outside, the terrace - with its stunning views - is ideal for a long G&T or leisurely coffee, whilst the lawns are great for croquet, games or a spot of sunbathing. For the more energetic the tennis court is at your disposal, and if the weather isn't playing ball, the covered games room (with table tennis & pool tables) keeps everyone entertained. Woodland walks, swings & den-building possibilities are perfect for little people, & even visiting dogs have their own 'off the lead' 3 acre field 'exercise area'!

For surfing, body boarding, rock pooling or a paddle, the beaches of Westward Ho! & Instow are a 15 minute drive away, whilst the nearby Tarka Trail provides car-free biking for all ages & abilities. Dartmoor & Exmoor are within an hours drive, whilst the Big Sheep & Milky Way are ideal for wet weather options. For a more genteel day out, the gardens of RHS Rosemoor, Hartland Abbey & Arlington Court are easily accessible, whilst a visit to Clovelly, Hartland Point or even Lundy Island are absolute musts. Golfers can enjoy the courses at Saunton Sands, Royal North Devon & Torrington. Hot tubs can be hired in at cost.

Up to 4 well behaved dogs allowed. Enclosed 3 acre field for exercising adjacent to the House. Owners asked to adhere to house rules regarding pets.

Log burners in Hallsannery and Coach House (unlimited logs), fire pits available for outside use. Heated all year round with renewables boiler.

Hallsannery: 10 superking (2 four posters), 1 family room superking (zip/link) plus bunk, all en suite. Coach House: 3 superking zip/link, 1 single.

Linen

Quality linen provided. 1 hand towel plus 1 bath sheet provided per person.

Bathrooms

Hallsannery: all rooms ensuite, roll top bath, 2 further baths, all with large showers Coach House: 2 bath/showers, 1 wetroom.

There is no pool but there are glorious sandy beaches nearby. Hot tubs can be hired in at cost.

Off road Estate parking for 30 cars & additional parking for larger events.

No smoking within the properties, butt bins provided for outside smoking.

Changeover day – Friday, but flexible, 30% deposit at time of booking, remainder due 6 weeks before arrival, fully refundable damage deposit.

Barnstaple - 9 miles; Tiverton Parkway - 46 miles; Exeter St David's - 40 miles.
The 'little white town' of Bideford, with a variety of shops, markets, cafes, supermarkets is 1 mile away.
Morrisons and Tesco - 1 mile, Asda - 1 1/2 miles, farm shops & markets locally. All major supermarkets and local specialists deliver on request. Local Ice cream deliveries!
The Crealock Arms in nearby Littleham is 2 miles away. Bideford's eateries are 1 mile away. Seaside villages of Instow & Appledore have a number of pubs and restaurants. Village pubs abound.
Exeter - 1 hour, Bristol - 2 hours, London Heathrow - 4 hours.
