Each of our 12 apartments is a home away from home, with its own cosy lounge, well-equipped kitchen, and dining space. Whether you’re preparing a home-cooked meal or relaxing after a day of adventures, these inviting spaces are perfect for unwinding. Larger groups can enjoy dining together in the grand Main Hall, with local caterers available to help make your event extra special. Our apartments can host up to 55 guests using 22 bedrooms (and up to 77 with mezzanine beds), making it ideal for any size group. We have:

Hargate Hall is perfectly located in the heart of the Peak District National Park, just 5 minutes from the charming village of Tideswell and 10 minutes from the historic spa town of Buxton. For nature lovers, walkers, and cyclists, this area is a dream, with easy access to iconic trails like the Monsal and Tissington Trails. From exploring Dovedale Nature Reserve to visiting the famous Chatsworth House, there’s something for everyone within easy reach.

WiFi

WiFi is available throughout most of the building. Mobile phone signal is OK on most networks, but sometimes you have to be near a window!

Kitchen

Each apartment has a fully fitted and equipped kitchen. There is no central commercial kitchen.

Dining Room

Each apartment has its own dining area, or if booking the whole building, you can eat in the Main Hall. For weddings, we also have a marquee.

Sitting Room

Each apartment has its own sitting areas with combinations of sofas and comfy chairs. There is also seating in the shared spaces.

TV and Music Facilities

TV, DVD player in each apartment.

Heating and Open Fires

All apartments have central heating, a couple of rooms have panel heaters. Electricity is supplied by £1 coin meters typically costing £2 per day.

Bedrooms

Apartments have either 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms. Sleeping capacities 2 to 4 per bedroom, mix of king, double, single and mezzanine beds up to 77 in total.

Linen

Linen and hand towels are included. Bath towels can also be provided.

Bathrooms

1 or 2 per apartment 15 in total.

Children's Facilities

We have cots, high chairs.

Outdoor

7 acres of parkland.

Swimming Pool

The nearest swimming pool is in Buxton 5 miles away. There is also an outdoor pool at Hathersage.

Electric Vehicle Charging

We have a private EV charger which we can make available. Please ask if you would like to use it.

Parking

There is on site parking for around 40 cars.

Smoking

Not permitted in any part of the building.
