Haus Wendy is a large holiday house in Austria, with exclusive use for your group when you book for 30 people or more - you can treat the whole house as your home, and plan activities and meal times entirely according to your group's wishes. Available all year round - for skiing in winter and for other activities and holidays in summer.
Recreation space, the dining hall and disco space are at your disposal. Your booking can be for breakfast or half board, or you can rent the house on an accommodation-only basis, including the kitchen which is equipped with professional machines.
The house, with an area of 1,100m2, is arranged over four floors. On the ground floor there is space for mountain bikes, skis and (ski) shoes, a big dining hall and a lockable part for hosting discos, for example.
On the 2nd and 3rd floors are the bedrooms, all of which have their own showers. A number of rooms also have their own toilets, but most toilets can be found in the hallways. The sanitary facilities are simple, but there are plenty of them (13 toilets). The 12 bedrooms range in size from 2 to 8 beds, with a total of 70 beds.
Marc and Anika, the Dutch owners, run Haus Wendy with considerable enthusiasm and they are happy to arrange extra options for your group, such as an indoor disco evening or a themed buffet.
Lungau is an attractive area to visit, both in the summer and in the winter. Mauterndorf lies at the foot of the mountain Grosseck Speiereck, with a height of 2,411 metres and 50 km of slopes. For more of a challenge you get on the skibus to Obertaurn or Katschberg, where there is a grand total of 200 km of ski runs. Whether you are looking for off-piste skiing, cross-country skiing or torchlight processions, the location of Haus Wendy makes it an ideal base for winter sports.
In summer Mauterndorf also has lots to offer. Rafting on the Mur, or from Schladming on the Enns or the Salzach, canyoning, mountain biking, hiking and climbing, paragliding and horse riding - all are possible from the village itself, and there's a local golf course. Or if you are looking for more relaxation, try the outdoor swimming pool in the village. Lungau is in the sunny south of Salzburg!
