Hawse End is located at the foot of Catbells, in the magnificent Borrowdale Valley, directly across Derwentwater from Keswick, and has stunning views, with access to the lakeside and mountains. The nearby famous Lake District town of Keswick can be accessed via a short cruise on Derwentwater, and the launch stop is conveniently close to the house. For those more active, there is a lakeside walk around Derwentwater which also takes in Keswick.

As we are an Outdoor Education Centre for school and youth groups, we can offer an extensive range of outdoor activities all year round, including kayaking, open canoeing, sailing, rock climbing, archery and ghyll scrambling with our experienced outdoor educational leaders.
