Sleeping 24 across 10 bedrooms (with sofa beds, z beds and a trundle for additional guests), this holiday house works beautifully for a large group. There's space to be together, space to disappear for a while and, importantly, no sense that everyone has to do the same thing at the same time. Heather Brae is spacious, comfortable and wonderfully unfussy. The house is also a great base for corporate events, team building and wellness retreats. The farmhouse kitchen allows everyone to congregate - it's a space made for cooking together, enjoying a few pre-drinks and catching up properly over a shared dinner. From there, you can wander into the sitting room and settle beside the open fire, find a quiet spot in the snug library next to the wood burning stove, or head to the games room for a few rounds of pool. Outside, there are 2.5 acres of private valley grounds to explore, along with a tennis court and 2 hot tubs. After a day walking the fells, there is something lovely about sinking into warm water while looking out across the valley and settling on a plan for the next day. With 10 bedrooms across 3 floors, the house gives everyone room to make themselves at home comfortably. Bathrooms across 3 floors make getting ready easy for a large group. The Pennine Way is on the doorstep, with rivers, moorland, ancient woodland and dramatic waterfalls all around. Spend the day walking in UpperTeesdale, or head to Low Force, High Force and Summerhill Force Waterfalls, all just a short drive away. Barnard Castle, Raby Castle and Bowes Castle are nearby too, with plenty to explore.
