Our guests tell us that Hedgerow Cottage Glamping is an amazing space for families and friends. There's heaps of room for kids to run and play, go foraging and exploring… nothing is too much trouble and you will love staying here.

Our exclusive, small glamping site is set in a private cider apple orchard. Unlike other sites, in summer we combine two or more classic 5 metre bell tents, for sleeping, with fabulous private indoor barn facilities for cooking, dining, TV/DVD, toilet/shower. Offering privacy, space and fantastic facilities for your group. In winter we convert to sleeping indoors!

Each barn is a brilliant set up for meals and for a chill out area for kids and adults with TV/DVD and silent disco to keep everyone entertained. There are inside and outside cooking options - relax and take your time to enjoy eating and sipping wine around your own fire pit - a perfect way to wind down and plan your adventures for the following day! The location is stunning and nearby are great kid friendly beaches, walks and sightseeing options, or try fabulous horse trekking locally. And the views are breathtaking!

There’s plenty to do on site, and it’s car free, so there’s lots of space for the kids to run around. We're on the edge of Blagdon, one of the loveliest villages in the Mendip Hills area of outstanding natural beauty. Nearby are many high quality farm shops, meat and food producers including award-winning Yeo Valley, Lye Cross Farm shop at Redhill, Thatcher's Cider & shop. In easy reach of the West Country’s best attractions - Wells, Cheddar, Wookey, Bath, Bristol and Brean beach.

Our family holidays in July and August include free activities on site including silent disco hire, and a wild food foray with one of the South Wests top wild food experts, Adrian (Ady), who has appeared on Countryfile with Mary Berry. Our fantastic app 'My Welly Walks' will take you on lovely walks to our village pubs, or around the nature reserve.

Kids love playing in the orchard whilst parents relax in their hot tub, and your private barn is a great advantage if the weather isn't perfect, with sofas, TV and DVD player.

Dining Room

The dining area seats up to 8 in Scrumpy Barn and 14 in Orchard Barn.

The sitting area in each barn has TV/DVD player and sofas.

Games Room

Our 8 acre field is open 9am to 7pm with football goals, and space to cycle/walk. Each private barn has TV/DVD player.

Heating and Open Fires

Electric panel heaters. Fire pits outside with free first basket of logs and eco fire lighters.

Bedrooms

Each site has two 5 metre 'Boutique Camping' bell tents sleeping up to 6 in each. A 3rd bell tent is available for larger groups, with Orchard Barn.

Linen

Hand towels and bath mats in all toilets and shower rooms. Tea towels in the kitchen. Beds made up for adults with all linen and towels.

Bathrooms

Each site has a private shower room with wc. Orchard barn has 2 showers. Bathrooms are not shared.

Children's Facilities

Suitable for families with children. Set in a cider apple orchard, at the end of a private lane, the site is car free.

Outdoor

Lots of space to run around. Football goals. 8 acre field for walking & cycling. Hot tubs, fire pits, camping chairs provided. Outside areas July/Aug.

Swimming Pool

Private hot tubs. There is no pool.

Parking

There is plenty of free off-road parking.

Smoking

Designated smoking areas outside. No smoking inside or near the tents please.

Location

A stunning, rural location with amazing views across the Severn Estuary and Welsh Hills, fabulous sunsets, yet easy reach Bristol, Bath, Wells, Cheddar. On the edge of a small hamlet of cottages.

A bus service travels from the village (1 mile away) to Bristol.
Bristol Temple Meads is the easiest station with regular trains from all over the country, also Yatton station isn't far at 20 mins.
We are 1 mile from the delightful village of Blagdon with its lovely lake, 25 mins from Bristol, 15 mins Wells, 20 mins Weston and 35 mins Bath.
Fantastic village shop, open 7 days from 8am to 8pm just 1 mile away. A 24 hr mini supermarket is 2 miles away. Tesco, Morrisons and Waitrose in Wells are 15 mins by car. Wells market is Sun & Wed.
The Seymour Arms serves food (1 mile), and the New Inn has lovely views across Blagdon Lake.
Bristol International Airport 7 miles, 5-10 minutes by car.
