The Herdsman's House, Thurso, Caithness, Scotland

Sleeps 2 - 11 5 Bedrooms 12 Dining

Dog friendly holiday house near Thurso sleeping 11 with a hot tub and games room for family holidays and get aways with friends

Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. The Herdsman's House, Thurso, Caithness, Scotland, sleeps 2 - 11 in 5 bedrooms.

The Herdsman's House is situated on Geiselittle Farm - a working farm with beef cattle and sheep owned by the Sutherland Family who have farmed in this area for 3 generations. Having owned the farm next door since the 1950's, they recently bought Geiselittle Farm and renovated the historic farmhouse to provide luxury holiday accommodation in northern Scotland. This holiday house is ideal for family get togethers and your dog is welcome too.

With views of undisturbed farmland looking out towards the town of Thurso and the beautiful banks of the winding river Thurso as it heads towards the coast, the house offers a peaceful rural getaway, whilst only being 2 miles from all the amenities of the town.

The house itself has retained some original feature fireplaces in the living areas and dining room, whilst having been modernised to accommodate modern family living. There is a large open plan kitchen and living space, dining room, a cosy lounge and a games room as communal spaces to congregate. The large bedrooms are spaced over 3 floors with 4 kingsize beds (one with additional sofa bed) and a triple room with 3 single beds, perfect for children. There are 4 bathrooms in the property - one en suite and the others situated between bedrooms with easy access.

The house looks on to a majestic walled garden which is enclosed and safe for children to play, with a swing set too. There is outside seating to dine al fresco and a hot tub in a private corner of the garden.
