Hidden Valley Yurts, Llanishen, Chepstow, Monmouthshire

Sleeps 4 - 26 5 Bedrooms 26 Dining

Luxury glamping site sleeping up to 26 with fully equipped kitchens in a magical setting in the Wye Valley

Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Hidden Valley Yurts, Llanishen, Chepstow, Monmouthshire, sleeps 4 - 26 in 5 bedrooms.

Sleeps from 5 to 26 in 5 yurts:
3 x 6 person yurts
2 x 4 person yurts

The yurt field has 3 fully equipped kitchens and 5 bathrooms, plenty of space for running around, boules pitch, goal, Safari style dining tent, wood burning pizza oven and barbecues - and 80 acres of woodland walks and stunning wildflower meadows (grazed by our herd of Highland cattle).

The yurts are located in a large south facing wildflower meadow bordered by a babbling brook. Easily accessible from the M4 - just 8 miles away (but a million miles in terms of peace and quiet!) - our valley is located midway between Chepstow and Monmouth in the stunning Wye Valley AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).

Our facilities are rustic in style but with all the luxury you would expect from a Glamping site - fully equipped kitchens with everything from an espresso maker to dishwashers - and everything in between: crockery, cooking equipment. Each yurt has its own fridge and food storage cupboard in the communal kitchen and the No 1 yurt has its own separate fully equipped kitchen, compost loo and shower.

There are recently converted bathrooms, 4 in total (one each for yurts 2, 3, 4 & 5). Each has been finished to a high boutique style standard with bath, rain shower, hand basin and flushing loo.

The yurts are fully furnished; Yurts 1, 2 & 3 have a superking size bed and Yurts 4 & 5 being slightly smaller yurts each have a kingsize. The remaining single beds in each of the yurts are single futons which can be used as chairs or beds. Each yurt has a wood burning stove (with a surrounding fire guard) and everything you need to light your fire, a mix of ethnic furniture, wall hangings and lots of cosy throws. The large crown lets in masses of light and a rain cap can be removed (on request) for star gazing on fine evenings. The wooden floors are covered with coir matting with decorative rugs on top.

We take your safety seriously so each yurt is fitted with a smoke detector, carbon monoxide alarm and a fire extinguisher. All the yurts are waterproof and thickly lined with felt for cosy warmth on cooler days and to keep the heat out when it's hot.

Facilities

WiFi

Most mobiles get reception at the site or in the car park but some are intermittent. There is no WiFi. The local pub 1 mile away offers free WiFi.

Disabled Facilities

We are in a steep sided valley and the terrain is rough in places with steps and stone paths so we are not ideal for those with mobility issues.

Dog Friendly

Sorry but we only allow service dogs.

Kitchen

Our 3 open fronted kitchens offer everything you need from a teaspoon to a coffee maker. 5 full size cookers, microwaves, a fridge per yurt, freezer.

Dining Room

Covered canopy with large picnic tables on the main deck and a safari style dining tent over a huge rustic banquet table.

Sitting Room

The huge deck in front of the kitchen and bathroom offers plenty of seating - the perfect meeting and eating place and can easily hold everyone.

TV and Music Facilities

We have no TV or music at the site - and no traffic noise either - nothing but birdsong, the babbling brook and the occasional bleating of the sheep.

Games Room

We consider the whole of our 80 acre farm to be the games room - dam the stream, build a den, walk the woods and meadows. Just go and explore.

Heating and Open Fires

Large central campfire and we do our best to keep a supply of campfire wood nearby. Each yurt has a wood burner and a chiminea (wood supplied).

Bedrooms

The yurts are one space, each with a superking or kingsize bed and single futons which can be converted into chairs during the day.

Linen

Each mattress has a quilted protector and a pillow but guests need to bring their own sheets and duvets/sleeping bags (bedding hire available).

Bathrooms

4 bathrooms with bath shower, flushing loo and handbasin. Yurt 1 has its own facilities close to the yurt and include a safari shower and compost loo.

Children's Facilities

The stream, campfire, woods and meadows offer everything a child needs.

Outdoor

80 acres of magical nature with wild flower meadows, ancient woodland, sheep, highland cattle, loads of nature and walks of different difficulties.

Swimming Pool

The brook running the length of the valley is mainly shallow but has several areas waist deep (on adults) so offers the chance for a dip and a splash.

Parking

Our car park is located one field away from the yurts (under 5 minutes walk). We have 2 car spaces per yurt and transport your luggage by 4x4 quad.

Smoking

Smoking is only permitted outside the yurts (and if you could dispose of the butts in the bins that would be appreciated).

Booking Information

Open October depending on weather. Change over days are Mondays and Fridays during peak season, single nights only available as last minute deals. £100 refundable damage deposit per yurt on bookings of 3 or more Yurts – please ring to discuss your requirements.
