Stylish and spacious, the farmhouse and barn have panoramic rural views showing the ruins of Raglan castle in mid distance stretching to the Sugarloaf mountain where the sun sets - fantastic to see from the terrace and swimming pool. Beautifully quiet yet only minutes drive from award winning pubs and restaurants. Not suitable for stags or raucous celebrations.

The accommodation is both spacious and comfortable, fully equipped and newly furnished to a high standard. There are sun terraces, a verandah, croquet lawn and grassy area for ball games. Large outdoor heated swimming pool (May 1st - Sept 30th). All year hot tub. Games room. Ample parking. Disabled access.

The farm itself has enchanting walks, to find the picturesque grotto in its own woodlands, and the stream walk which has many little waterfalls and wild flowers. There is a well-tended grassy jogging or walking track round the fields.

Peaceful, noise and traffic free, just sheep and cattle in nearby fields. Lots of birds, including 2 pairs of buzzards. Badger dens by stream. Wonderful sunsets.

On the border between England and Wales, this area has many ruined castles and churches, the closest being Raglan Castle and Tintern Abbey.

The area offers boat cruises, walks and adventure activities in Wye Valley Gorge, or walks on Offa’s Dyke, Sugarloaf and other mountains. For towns, we’re within an hour of Bristol, Cardiff, Chepstow, Cheltenham and Hereford. Is there much to do? Take a look at Wyedean tourism.

Nearest pubs and village shops: 10 minutes by car. The Raglan Londis shop bakes fresh bread and pies.

Easy access to M4, M5 and M50. The drive from west London takes 2½ hours, Birmingham 1.5.

Barn is fully accessible, all one level, accessed by ramp, wide doors.

Kitchen

3 kitchens, all beautiful, modern and fully equipped. Farmhouse has own kitchen diner. Barn has two further fully equipped kitchens.

Dining Room

Farmhouse has own kitchen/diner with table to seat 12. Barn has dining room to seat up to 24 in comfort. Choose to eat together or in smaller groups.

Sitting Room

Luxurious lounge in Farmhouse for 12, plus sitting room in Barn for a further 16 plus several snug/quiet areas for smaller groupings.

TV and Music Facilities

3 large new TVs, with DVDs and Sky TV in the Farmhouse.

Games Room

Big games room - fantastic facility for bad weather, with table tennis, pool, table football.

Heating and Open Fires

A mix of ground source heat and air source underfloor central heating. Very new and very eco friendly.

Bedrooms

Farmhouse has 2 family rooms each sleeping 4 plus 2 double over floors 1 and 2. Barn has 4 twins and 2 doubles all on one level. (10 total).

Linen

High quality linen provided, including all towels.

Bathrooms

Farmhouse has 1 shower/loo, 2 bathroom/loos, and one ground floor loo. Barn has 3 showers and 3 separate loos for use of 6 bedrooms.

Children's Facilities

Masses of outdoor play space for any kind of bat and/or ball game. Cycles welcomed! Large games room. 2 Travel Cots 2 High Chairs, some toys.

Outdoor

Fantastic undercover hot tub, amazing views. Wonderful walks in grounds and woods, orchard, sports play area, running/walking track. Garden furniture.

Swimming Pool

Overlooking Raglan Castle, heated in summer, open May 1st to Sept 30th. Hard to imagine a finer location to relax. 5m x 10m, shelving to 2.5m

Parking

Plenty of space for parking outside Farmhouse and Barn and on forecourts and hard standing - easily takes 12+ vehicles.

Smoking

Not in buildings.

Birmingham Bristol and Cardiff, all approximately 60 minutes. Good fast coach link from Heathrow to Chepstow.
Abergavenny, Newport both about 25 minutes away.
