Two families of four would be ideal for this cottage. Heron View has a very open plan living area, also great for catering for a large group. We have a 6 person hot tub! The Byre could perhaps be ideal for the more elderly ones of the family being on one floor and not adjoining the other two. Perfect when peace is required after a long day with the younger members of the family. Hot tub has been added recently We have a secure bike store that would cater for up to 20 bikes High Kirkland is perfectly located in a rural location but very central to the town of Kirkcudbright and all that goes with it. The Harbour, lovely shops, cracking restaurants and Fish & Chip shops. Of course there a couple of good pubs to quench that thirst!! The surrounding area has lots on offer to fill your day...  The Cocoa Bean (Chocolate Factory) is perfect for kids with soft play, chocolate making and outdoor adventure. Other great places are Galloway Activity Centre, Forest Estates (clay pigeons shooting). Threave Gardens is a National Trust place which is worth a visit. For golfers, Kirkcudbright Golf Course is a very good 18 hole course and will test the best of you. There are many other courses in the area which are of a very good standard. Booking system - Fri-Fri on a weekly basis, Fri- Mon or Mon-Fri for short breaks. Minimum 7 night stay in July/August. The 7 Stanes is a huge enterprise for keen mountain bikers. Kirroughtree have spent millions on their visitor centre and Dalbeattie have got some routes which suit every standard of biker. Star gazers should visit the Galloway Forest Park and observatory as we have been tagged with beautiful dark skies. Until you've seen the stars in our area you won't believe how beautiful it is. High Kirkland as you can see is a great base for all types of travellers so we look forward to meeting you! ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** All cottages are pet friendly, must be made known to owner on booking (£25 per dog charge). Limit on the amount of dogs. All normal house rules apply. - **Accessibility:** The Byre is located all on one floor and can fit wheelchairs. Robin's Nest has wheelchair access. Detachable grab bars in each cottage. - **Hot Tub:** The Byre and Heron View both have hot tubs - **WiFi:** There is full fibre broadband located in all 3 properties. Good mobile networks are O2 and Vodafone. - **Kitchen:** Each cottage is well equipped with oven and microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine. - **Dining Room:** Robin's Nest has the largest kitchen/dining/lounge area although Heron View's new open plan living area will cater for a large number too. - **Sitting Room:** Robin's Nest has the largest living room with a 50" smart television (freeview). This can seat the bulk of your guests. - **TV and Music Facilities:** The other 2 cottages also have smart TVs with DVD players. - **Heating and Open Fires:** All 3 cottages have central heating. Robin's Nest and Heron View also have wood burning stoves. The Byre has an electric effect stove. - **Bedrooms:** Robin's Nest: en suite king size, king size room and 2 twin rooms. Heron View: en suite double, triple (3 singles). The Byre: double, twin/zipnlink. - **Linen:** Linen and towels provided - 1 bath towel and hand towel per person. No extra cost. - **Bathrooms:** Robin's Nest: en suite bath room, shower room and wet room. Heron View: en suite shower room and bathroom with shower. The Byre: bathroom & shower. - **Children's Facilities:** High chairs, cots and stair gate are available with no charge. - **Outdoor:** Heron View has a slabbed area for the hot tub with picnic bench.
