Higher Wiscombe is a perfect venue for small conferences. Located at the centre of East Devon’s AONB, and near both the SW Coast Path and the Jurassic Coast. In this peaceful valley setting, a few miles from the sea at Beer, Sidmouth and Branscombe, are three 5 star luxury cottages with up to 17 en suite rooms plus a dedicated conference room.
Converted in 2006 from old stone barns, the cottages can accommodate conference parties from 6 to 16. The oak dining table in The Winery can dine all the delegates and there are additional break out rooms available making Higher Wiscombe the ideal location for all kinds of seminars, business, training and corporate events. Many team building activities are also available nearby.
When relaxing, delegates can enjoy a games room with table tennis and table football and in summer we have an outdoor heated swimming pool.
We are 20 minutes from Exeter and it’s airport, an hour and a half from Bristol, 2.5 hours from Birmingham and 3 hours from London. Honiton mainline station is 10 minutes away. Parking available on site.
On site catering can be arranged, there are many excellent restaurants and we have links to Coach and taxi operators. If you wish to self cater you can organise supermarket deliveries and take full advantage of our fully equipped kitchens.
Beds are made up on arrival with luxurious cotton sheets and bath towels are provided.
The Winery has 10 bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms. Both the Flint and Thatched have 3 en suite bedrooms, giving a total of 16 en suite bedrooms.
In 2015 we were awarded the Gold Award for the Best Self Catering Holiday in Devon were graded Gold by the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
