Highfield House is a lovely place for friends, families and business groups to meet for a holiday, weekend away or team building time with colleagues. This beautifully restored 18th century country holiday house is tastefully decorated with art and antiques, and has excellent transport links being only 40 minutes from Dublin.

Highfield House enjoys an elevated position overlooking Trim Castle and the River Boyne. It offers the perfect combination of period features and comfortable living with modern facilities. The formal dining room is a sociable space for everyone to eat together and the lounge with fireplace just the job for after supper chill time chatting or watching a film. Meals can be prepared in the kitchen or there is an option to hire in a chef to prepare something delightful for a special occasion or celebration. The well maintained mature garden has lots of seating in many corners to make the most of good weather and County Meath landscape views. The breeze house in the pretty courtyard is a great addition with sheltered benches for inclement weather.

The choice of bedrooms is well thought out for a mixed group and especially a 3 generational family. 10 en suite rooms include 5 doubles, 2 triples, 1 quad, 1 twin and 1 single so everyone is kept happy. Individually designed and tastefully furnished, accommodation is comfortable and spacious, perfect to unwind after a day out. There are plenty of bathrooms including one with a stunning free standing roll top bath to give an air of indulgence and luxury.

Trim is probably most well known for having the largest 12th century Norman castle in Ireland and being historically a significant point of power in the area. Trim Visitor Centre is only a short walk from the house and it's worth popping in for further information about local attractions. For something different to appeal to the kids and young at heart, opt for a day of thrills and excitement at Tayto Theme Park and Zoo just 40 minutes away. A trip to Dublin offers museums, the castle, whisky distilleries and the popular Guinness Storehouse as well as a range of shops, bars and restaurants.
