The Historic Malthouse is a Grade II listed building in the heart of a picturesque village that’s the perfect base for memorable holidays for up to 16 guests near Bath, be it family gatherings, friends get togethers, small wedding parties. A studio also provides additional accommodation for a further 2 guests.
The modern kitchen, with flagstone floors, is well equipped to prepare a meal in the dining area which seats 14 (16 when the studio is booked together) in front of a huge fireplace for winter warmth.
The living spaces combine the traditional with contemporary. Large windows and stylish decor throughout. Sofas in both sitting rooms provide ideal spots to relax, with a wood burner in the lounge and TV in the garden room which looks out onto the garden and beyond.
The high standard continues in the bedrooms by climbing the turret staircase, some rooms configured as superkings and twins. Spacious rooms with unique beams, window seats, feature fireplaces, classy soft furnishings with hand made curtains, garden views offer the perfect sanctuaries to unwind. The ground floor king size room with en suite is particularly handy for multi generational groups or those with mobility issues - please enquire. 4 bathrooms are positioned across 3 floors with good quality fixtures and fittings. Please note that the top floor areas share the same staircase and opens up into the superking, en suite and steps up to a twin (curtains for privacy). An excellent family area.

In the grounds of the Malthouse we have a studio that sleeps two guests and one pet welcome, this can be booked with the Malthouse to accommodate 16 guests or just for more space. Also available on its own.

The city of Bath is only 15 minutes away with many historic attractions including the Roman Baths and Royal Crescent, as well as independent shops and many local eateries such as Sally Lunns Bath Buns for afternoon tea. Closer to home. right next door to the the house we have one of the oldest pubs in UK.
