Houghton Farmhouse sits at the edge of the village and has a secluded garden to the back of the property. The house has many lovely features within such as servants bells and, whilst beautifully modernised, it still retains its charm. The lounge has lovely comfortable seating and a wood burner for the colder winter nights, and the dining room seats up to 18 also. The kitchen is well equipped for those wishing to cook up a culinary delight or two as there are plenty of pots and pans, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. There is also a large fridge, smaller fridge and good sized freezer. The kitchen and dining room are right next door to each other so easy to take food and plates backwards and forwards, plus there is a small table in the kitchen for smaller groups or earlier sittings for children. The bedrooms are all of a good size with lovely white cotton linen and feather duvets. There are four bathrooms in the house and you will find a complimentary toiletry set in each. The lovely secluded garden has a games room, a heated swimming pool with telescopic enclosure for all year round swimming, and the addition of a six-person sauna near this area too. The house is well located for the North Norfolk coast with Wells-next-the-Sea not far away. There are many beaches to explore as well as many sights to visit including the seals at Blakeney, the Sandringham Estate and Norwich. Catering and various activity options are available at the house and these are ideal if someone is celebrating a big birthday, an anniversary or a hen party. ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** With prior agreement, dogs are allowed at the house. There is a £30 per dog surcharge and £200 is added to the security deposit. House rules apply. - **Accessibility:** Ground floor bedroom and shower room, but no specific facilities for disabled guests. - **WiFi:** WiFi is available in the house - enough generally but not fantastic for streaming. Mobile reception varies with different providers. - **Kitchen:** Lovely farmhouse kitchen with lots of crockery, utensils and glassware and offering plenty of freezer and fridge space too. - **Dining Room:** This is a lovely room with a nautical theme and comfortably seats the full compliment of the house. - **Sitting Room:** A warm room to seat everyone staying in the house with comfy sofas, television, DVD and wood burner for the colder months. - **TV and Music Facilities:** TV and DVD in the sitting room. - **Games Room:** Situated in a stone barn in the garden and has table tennis and a pool table. - **Heating and Open Fires:** The house is centrally heated throughout. There is also a wood burner in the lounge - guests bring their own firewood. - **Bedrooms:** 2 doubles downstairs. Upstairs are 2 triples, a family room (1 double and 2 singles), and 2 doubles. - **Linen:** All bed linen is provided - high quality Egyptian cotton. All duvets are feather down for all seasons. Please bring all towels for shower and pool. - **Bathrooms:** There are 4 bathrooms in total: 1 is en suite, 2 with bath and shower facilities and 1 shower room (this one is downstairs). - **Children's Facilities:** The games room is a firm favourite with the children. There are also some DVDs in the house. There is a cot and two high chairs for the smaller ones. - **Outdoor:** There is a BBQ in the garden (combined gas and charcoal) and garden furniture for everyone to enjoy a meal outside. - **Swimming Pool:** There is a small heated pool in the garden with telescopic enclosure so indoor or outdoor is possible depending on the weather. - **Parking:** There is plenty of parking to the side of the house. - **Smoking:** There is a no smoking policy within the house.
