The local area hosts a wealth of activities; walking, mountain biking, park, horse riding, fishing, golf. There is also a large outdoor pursuits centre 10 minutes away with to many more activities to mention so you will be spoilt for choice.
Not to mention the wealth of local dog and family friendly pubs and restaurants.

Girls - this is the perfect venue for a relaxing hen weekend, or girlie holiday. Why not contact our beauty therapists and have a relaxing spa day at the house? Start your day with personalized Yoga. We can offer all sorts of treats from clairvoyants to salsa, even a naked butler! Take advantage of our wonderful catering services and finish off your day with a wonderful dinner party cooked by our professional chefs.

The boys can have a fantastic active weekend too. Quad-biking, clay pigeon shooting, paint balling or choose from the wide range of activities available in the area. At the end of your busy day, The local pub just a short walk across the fields, will be only too pleased to host an evening with your wives and girlfriends for you - just give us the word and it's as good as done.

Houghton Lodge has been especially created for disabled guests. All areas are accessible with slopes, no steps inside or outside, making it an enjoyable holiday for everyone.The heated indoor pool is fitted with a wispa hoist, so everyone can enjoy a swim. There is a large wet-room on the ground floor and the 2 ground floor bedrooms include turning space and room for hoists etc. We also have a nursing supply company available for special equipment hire.

Doggie guests are more than welcome, they even have their own check in treats and holiday bandanna. Fantastic walkies right from your door.
