The house is set above a sloped lawn, surrounded by trees, and with an open view across the Tweed valley and the River Tweed. With a formal appearance from the outside and a relaxed air within, this house was renovated and refurbished in 2016. Any type of corporate event can be arranged here from senior management meetings to away days, team building, product launches, lunches and dinners. Howford House is part of Traquair Estate where we can offer many additional facilities. Traquair, Scotland’s Oldest Inhabited House, has several suitable rooms for meeting and conferencing and has extensive grounds featuring Scotland’s largest hedged maze and 18th century working brewery. We can arrange archery and laser clay shooting, team building challenges in our Maze, as well as mountain biking, fishing on the River Tweed, golfing or equestrian activities nearby. Howford House is equipped with good IT access and is suitable for meetings of 14 – 18 people around our main Dining Room table.
