Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Hurtwood Hostel, Dorking, Surrey Hills, sleeps 8 - 49 in 14 bedrooms.

Hurtwood Hostel occupies an amazing position in the Surrey Hills, a beautiful part of the country easily accessible from London and the south east, and a magnet for outdoor enthusiasts. Hurtwood Hostel can sleep up to 49 guests overall with multiple groups or a single large group of 40 taking the whole hostel with exclusive use. The sleeping accommodation can be divided so that a group takes just one floor, sleeping 22. The kitchen, social spaces and bathroom facilities are shared so you can meet like-minded groups but still enjoy your own privacy.

A great central location for the south east, Hurtwood Hostel is England's first purpose built hostel, set in 2000 acres of woodland in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Hurtwood Hostel is popular with all kinds of groups including families, friends, walkers, cyclists, schools and activity groups. It offers a range of bunk style dorms and private rooms and on site facilities that from the start of 2025 include a cafe with log fire and also a mountain bike hire centre. Bring your dogs too.

The self catering kitchen has 2 of everything, a great communal space for cooking together. Other catering options are available: breakfast, half board or full board. The dining area is a sociable area for eating together and there is some relaxed seating (operates as a cafe during the day but with private use out of hours for guests staying). On a sunny day there's plenty of outside space with picnic benches and grassed areas. Dorms and private rooms are clean and comfortable with beds made up on arrival.

Hurtwood Hostel offers access to a range of outdoor activities including hill walking, climbing and mountain biking. There are great trails from the door of the hostel including Holmbury Hill, Pitch Hill, Leith Hill and further afield the North Downs beckon. Other nearby attractions include multiple National Trust properties, RHS Wisley, Mercedes-Benz World, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventure, Box Hill, Legoland and of course London within an hour. A day out at the beach is a possibility with Worthing just under an hour away.

Other activities can be arranged on request.
