IncredABLE Mourne Centre is a great choice for all kinds of youth groups to enjoy a residential course in a stunning part of Northern Ireland, less than an hour from Belfast. Church groups, charities, schools, scouts, guides and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions can make the most of this budget residential centre, perfect for indoor and outdoor activities and in a beautiful area. The ethos of IncredABLE is to create meaningful social, recreational and educational opportunities for people with a learning disability and what better place to do it. This fully accessible facility has recently been renovated and now has fantastic purpose built living areas and a variety of comfortable yet practical accommodation.

It is a requirement that groups have their own safeguarding vulnerable child protection policy, considering child adult ratios and male and female leaders being present. Please show evidence of the group’s own public liability insurance.

The brand new commercial kitchen is a great space to get the kids cooking together for some team bonding before sitting down to eat in the sociable dining room for 26. The dining room is also a handy spot to play games and engage in educational and fun activities. The lounge has lots of comfy seating, a popular spot for everyone to settle down after supper to watch a film on the wide screened TV. There is also a games area with pool table and ping pong, just the job for some much needed down time and healthy competition.

The bunk style rooms are a selection of twins, a sleeps 5 and a sleeps 8 so that there is plenty of choice for children and teachers or leaders. They are comfortable and warm spaces with modern en suite shower facilities.

This youth residential venue in County Down is perfect for getting the youngsters out and about for walks into the Mourne Mountains and to experience new confidence building activities, with water sports nearby including kayaking and paddle boarding.

Booking Information

Week long bookings are from Friday to Friday. 2 night weekends start 7pm Friday until 1pm Sunday. Strictly no smoking and no drugs at the centre. It is imperative that organised groups have their own safeguarding policy as well as their own public liability insurance. Upon arrival a lost of all participants names should be given to the manager. A £200 non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Please leave the centre clean and tidy with beds stripped and all recycling sorted.

Located a short drive from the fishing town of Kilkeel in the heart of the Mourne Mountains, County Down. 70 minutes from Belfast and 2 hours from Dublin. 30 minutes to Newcastle and the coast can be reached in 10 minutes.

Asda supermarket within 15 minutes and many will deliver. A convenience store is attached to a petrol station in a petrol station on the outskirts of Kilkeel.
