Ingestre Hall has been an dedicated residential arts centre since 1960 and we proudly continue the legacy today, providing young people with a truly unforgettable arts experience whilst here.

We have very talented arts practitioners who enjoy teaching young people and imparting their knowledge, ensuring the students that visit develop skills and have fun discovering their creativity in a truly wonderful environment. We have dedicated workshop studios for all of the arts options available.

We cater to schools and groups of all kinds, whether it be tutored term time weeks and weekends – VAT is not chargeable if we provide tuition, for untutored weeks or weekends or holiday weeks/weekends – VAT is chargeable.

We also offer self catered accommodation, charged on a per night basis from £2250 to £2500 per night, for those groups who wish to have more flexibility, VAT is chargeable on all self catered bookings.

Groups and schools stay with us for rehearsals, revision weekends, reward weekends, leadership, team building. Ingestre Hall is an ideal base away from the usual school environment. We have the privilege every day of witnessing the significant and profound benefit of the residential experience on young people in a truly inspiring location. They grow in confidence and self esteem, learn new life skills, socialise and interact in ways that they simply wouldn’t at school, building memories and bonds that last a lifetime.

Accommodation with catering, with or without tuition is available during school holiday periods for the most part, subject to practitioner availability. Please call to discuss your specific requirements. Prices start at £65-£75 per head, per night, based on a minimum charge for 50 students plus VAT, this does not include tuition. Tutored stays start at £94-£105 per night depending on season and VAT is not charged on bookings where you book an Ingestre practitioner(s), music technician(s) or a photographer.

We have a fully equipped commercial kitchen to cater for large groups. We have lots of space both indoors and outside for your group. A peaceful, secluded retreat to enjoy in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside.

Accessibility

Wheelchair ramps are available. We have a lift and a 4/5 bed dormitory with wet room and 3 bed carers room with en suite on our mezzanine corridor.

WiFi

There is access if required to a landline for emergencies only. Mobile networks vary due to the rural location of the hall. Wifi is available.

Kitchen

The kitchen is very well equipped with the facilities you would expect in a commercial kitchen. The kitchen is large and spacious.

Dining Room

The dining room is equipped with tables and chairs to seat up to 70 people. We have an adjoining coffee bar/New York style diner seating 15.

Sitting Room

The Yellow Room, Red Room and the Great Hall are all rooms available to your group to use for recreation and relaxation on the ground floor.

TV and Music Facilities

The Red Room is traditionally the room where residents watch television. Our cellar is the place for karaoke and parties where music can be played.

Games Room

Our cellar is equipped with pool tables, football tables and various arcade machines. There is a party area for discos etc, with disco lights.

Heating and Open Fires

Heating and hot water are supplied by a bio mass system, via radiators. There are no open fires here at Ingestre Hall.

Bedrooms

We have 3 corridors of dormitory accommodation with 17 bedrooms ranging from 2 bed staff rooms to 11 bed dormitories, plus additional 3 bedrooms.

Linen

All bedding: quilt, pillow, mattress protector, flat sheet, pillowcase, quilt cover and thermal blanket are supplied as standard for all beds.

Bathrooms

We have separate shower/wash room facilities on each corridor for young people and staff. We have 4 rooms that are en suite.

Children's Facilities

We have 3 table tennis tables in the Great Hall. A cellar with pool tables, football tables and various arcade machines. Games, TV room, DVDs.

Outdoor

Large private grounds - 27 acres to explore with mature trees. Football posts are available and lots of space to run around in a safe environment.

Swimming Pool

No not on site. There is a new Leisure Centre with a pool in Stafford, approximately 7 miles from us.

Parking

Parking for approximately 15 cars in our car parks. Additional parking is available on our grounds at the front of the building if required on grass.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited at Ingestre Hall. There is, if required, a designated outside area available.

Booking Information

Self catering charges from £2,250 per night from April 2025. Prices increase every April. BH weekends/nights incur an additional charge of £250. Prices are subject to VAT. Minimum 2 night stay.

Prices for catered accommodation are from £65-£90 pppn, based on a minimum charge for 50 people and prices are dependent upon menu choices made. Minimum 2 night stay is also applicable and are subject to VAT.

Location

Ingestre Hall is located in Ingestre. Ingestre is located between Great Haywood and Tixall villages. Follow signs for Ingestre Stables and Ingestre Park Golf Club (brown tourist signs).

Stafford is 8 miles away. Great Haywood is the nearest village approximately 2 miles away.
Spar shop at Great Haywood is approximately 2 miles away & the Canalside Farm Shop is approximately 1 mile away. Stafford is the closest town with Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys, Aldi and Lidl supermarkets.
The Clifford Arms at Great Haywood is the closest. The Barley Mow at Milford is also close. There are however numerous places to eat and drink in the local vicinity.
Birmingham International Airport.
Stafford Rail Station. There is a taxi rank outside of the station.
There are limited bus routes in the area. The nearest bus stop is at Great Haywood.
