This magnificent country house and gatehouse near Elgin and the Cairngorms National Park is quite something - the perfect choice for multi generation family and friends celebrations, weddings, shooting parties, golfers, walkers, cyclists and corporate events. Set within 5000 acres of forest, farmland, meadow and woodland, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and only 15 minutes from the coast. Innes House and The Gatehouse are both dog friendly.
The tree lined avenue through parkland is a prelude of what Innes House has to offer. It's a house that is made for photo opportunities, whether family snaps for precious memories or pictures for the wedding album. The living areas are grand yet warm and comfortable spaces, and a large kitchen comes fully equipped for self catering with an adjoining dining room for 12 guests. If there is a bigger group eating together the Red Ballroom will seat 20 and the East Ballroom 40 for a celebration feast making use of in house private dining services. The drawing room and library are gorgeous rooms too, with period features including open fireplaces, high ceilings and dramatic chandeliers. There's a baby grand piano for any musicians in the group.
The Gatehouse sleeps 3 guests with a sofa bed for 2 more. This property has plenty of history too and has been revamped to include modern luxuries such as underfloor heating, a wood burner and open plan kitchen diner. For a young family or grandparents wanting some privacy and peace it's a good choice.
Both houses have outside seating areas for barbecues and socialising. There are large lawns where kids and dogs can run around to let off steam and discover the fun of a rope swing. The outside bar is for the adults, to enjoy a drink of choice.
Bedrooms are a handy combination of 4 posters, super kings and twins and can be set up according to requirements, exquisitely designed rooms just made for a good night's sleep. 15 en suites complete the picture.
There much to explore in this fantastic part of Scotland; walk the renowned Moray Coastal Trail, visiting gorgeous fishing villages and beaches along the way, or the more energetic can bag a Munro, with 50 in the Cairngorms offering lots of physically challenging climbs. Marine wildlife enthusiasts might like to organise a dolphin cruise on the Moray Firth to spot dolphins, seals and sea otters. Or head to one of many whisky distilleries.
