## About The Property

This fantastic equestrian centre really does have it all for schools, youth groups, scouts and guides wanting a holiday learning to ride or to look after horses. The Isle of Wight has a history steeped in horse riding with hundreds of miles of trails, bridleways and beach rides to enjoy.

Island Riding Centre provides a choice of flexible accommodation: The Gallops self catering houses, safari tents or The Orchard bungalow. There is the option of leader or teacher rooms in each property.

It is possible for group leaders to choose self catering with all units having kitchens or kitchenettes. However, Island Riding Centre also has an on site restaurant serving English and Mediterranean food with favourites like pizza and pasta for even the most choosy tastes.

The riding school staff take a tailored approach to helping youngsters enjoy their time at Island Riding Centre. Well trained tutors are able to help all ages and abilities to get the most out of this holiday. They are experienced at encouraging kids with learning difficulties and disabilities to achieve. Even those lacking confidence and motivation will flourish and emerge with increased self esteem. On site facilities lend themselves to success, and include the huge indoor arena, all weather outdoor school or local hacks, before the youngsters venture further afield and onto the sands.

All of the accommodation works well for youth groups offering comfy beds, living space and sparkling clean bathrooms. 4 of the properties are accessible.

There is plenty of space for downtime at Island Riding Centre, and the younger ones in particular will appreciate the play area or a chance to spend time with the local rescue animals for feeding time. There are lots of gorgeous beaches on the Isle Of Wight for an afternoon out, with low tide pools at Appleby, a must see trip to The Needles and maybe a boat safari to spot marine wildlife.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Some of the self catering houses are dog friendly.
- **Accessibility:** 4 units mobility level 1, 2 level 2 and 1 level 3. 1 of the safari tents is now accessible.
- **WiFi:** WiFi throughout.
- **Kitchen:** All kitchens in houses are well equipped and include a dishwasher. Safari tents have kitchenette with hot plates, fridge and firepit.
- **Dining Room:** The houses have inside and outside dining for the number of guests. Safari tents have a communal firepit grill with seating as well as individual BBQ.
- **Sitting Room:** The houses have comfortable lounges with sofas and a Smart TV, most are open plan. Some bedrooms have Smart TVs.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** Smart TVs in house lounges and some bedrooms with access to Netflix and Amazon through personal log in.
- **Games Room:** There is no games room but use of both the indoor and outdoor arenas is available as is on site horse riding and outdoor games at the restaurant.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Centrally heated self catering houses. The safari tents have a communal firepit and individual BBQ.
- **Bedrooms:** The houses have a combination of doubles, kings and twins with an extra bed where needed. Use of zip and links. Safari tents have a king and bunks.
- **Linen:** Bedding and bathroom towels are provided in the houses. Only bedding is included for the safari tents, youth groups may need to bring sleeping bags.
- **Bathrooms:** The self catering houses have family bathrooms with some en suites in master bedrooms. Some baths. The safari tents each have 2 shower rooms with WCs.
- **Children's Facilities:** High chairs and cots are available by prior arrangement. Children's play area next to the houses and the restaurant. Farm animals.
- **Outdoor:** Most houses have outside seating area with furniture. Safari tents have a deck with seating and a communal area with firepit. On site horse riding.
- **Parking:** Off road parking.
- **Smoking:** No smoking please.

- A 20% deposit is required to secure a booking and the balance due 8 weeks before arrival. Normal check in from 4pm and check out by 10am. Ask about dog friendly accommodation.
