Nestled in the heart of the Peak District National Park, and providing unparalleled access to areas of outstanding natural beauty, the John Hunt Base is situated in the courtyard at Hagg Farm. Ideal for families and outdoor enthusiasts for exploring the Peak District, for holidays and long weekend breaks.
The attractive, self-contained unit accommodates up to 18 people in 2-person to 8-person rooms with a combination of bunks and single beds.
The Base provides a lounge/dining room, Smart TV, showers and toilets (wheelchair accessible) and fully equipped kitchen.
The centre has parking for six vehicles.
There is a games field, large firepit, wildlife garden and climbing boulder which are shared with the Hagg Farm main centre.
Walks from the door of the centre lead onto the high moors of Kinder and Bleaklow and around the Ladybower reservoirs and dams. Nearby Chatsworth House, Eyam and Buxton offer a change of pace and, if you are looking for a less rural day out, Sheffield is only 20 minutes away. The centre is located close to fantastic mountain biking, road cycling, rock climbing and caving.
Six electric vehicle chargers are available for guests to use in the car park. These can only be used by Subscribers to BP Pulse' EV charging scheme who bring a RFID/access card with them.
