This lovely collection of contemporary holiday cottages and B&B accommodation near Oxford has been created from traditional farm buildings, some dating back to the 17th century. Original features are retained alongside modern design.
Kingfisher Barn is a great venue for multi generational families and friends getting together for a celebration or a holiday in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside sandwiched between the North Wessex Downs and the Cotswolds.
The 2 larger lodges are perfect for a group of couples or families, both offering stylish open plan living and patios with plenty of lawn space. The kitchens are set up for group cooking, and sociable dining areas and lounges perfect for unwinding and sharing time together.
The smaller cottages offer extra peace and privacy - perfect for the grandparents in a multi generational group, or for a young family. Stable Cottage has tracking for a hoist in the main bedroom and bathroom. And Granary Cottage is a romantic bolthole for any couples or grandparents in the group.
B&B rooms are self contained with private entrances and en suites. Breakfast is provided in the cabin, guests are welcome to use the cabin kitchen to prepare and eat dinners.
The properties are spacious and comfortable, individually decorated with bright soft furnishings and wall art. Bathroom facilities are mostly shared but are plentiful. The Stable has an en suite, as do some of the lodge bedrooms.
There's a lovely sunny courtyard, and the cottages have private patios.
Abingdon is a picturesque town with pretty bridges, historic buildings, gardens and independent shops and cafes. Salter's Steamers can be booked for a river cruise down the Thames with fabulous hospitality on board. Millets Farm is a fun day out for the family, with the challenge of the maize maze! Blenheim Palace and Oxford are also good for a day out. And there are lots of pubs along the river for drinks enjoying the views.
