This bunkhouse is ideally positioned, on the main street in Kirkby Stephen, a lovely town nestled between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales with County Durham on the doorstep. The town has been described as a best kept secret, tucked away in quiet and beautiful countryside. You can hire the whole of Kirkby Stephen Hostel with exclusive use for any large gathering - we welcome walkers, cyclists, school groups, geology, (including field trips and DofE groups), stag or hen weekends, or family celebrations. Get together to relax, cook and eat, dance and play games in the large hall, perfect for groups. Your dog can come with you too. Minimum prices reflect 20 guests with exclusive use. The building sleeps up to 40 people with everything needed to cook for and sleep a big group; a kitchen, lock up bike shed, drying room, WiFi. The fully equipped catering kitchen has a electric oven and microwave, fridge with freezer and kettle, and there's a second small self contained kitchen too. The dining room has ample seating for the whole group. If you would like some time off cooking we can provide full catering services to your group. Or you are welcome to self cater. Bedrooms are a variety of sizes, ideal for families. All rooms are en suite, apart from the twin which shares facilities. Set in the Upper Eden Valley in Cumbria, the historical buildings situated at the heart of the Kirkby Stephen offer a fine range of independent shops and a choice of eating places, which include cafes and pubs, to satisfy one's appetite.
