The Costa del Sol is a popular area for family holidays in the sun and this gem is perfect for a summer getaway or a seaside break out of season. Built in the style of Granada's Alhambra Palace by a wealthy American industrialist in 1970, La Roca Rara is all about luxury living, with sociable open plan areas surrounding an enticing courtyard pool and sun terrace. The villa is located between the mountains and the sea with far reaching views, and offers groups easy access to impressive gorges to explore on foot and the coast for days on the beach, as well as being convenient for several well known and popular Andalucian towns including Malaga and Seville. This single storey villa is ideal for extended family groups and friends, as well as retreats and corporate events. The 2.5 acres of grounds offer lots of space for business teambuilding activities, with lawns available for yoga classes under the restorative Spanish sunshine. The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering, or hire in a private chef for a special celebration or to look after your corporate team requirements. Dining is an occasion at La Roca Rara with inside and outside tables seating up to 20 guests - enjoy long evenings at the table overlooking the floodlit pool. The double height lounge with a feature wood beamed ceiling is a light room with French doors opening onto the south facing terrace and pool, and a raised TV viewing area with satellite TV and DVD. The 8 bedrooms offer flexible accommodation for a mixed gathering including family rooms and a choice of super kings or twins (zip and link). 6 of the rooms open onto the courtyard pool area, inviting you out for an early morning swim. En suite facilities are plentiful. One of the benefits of staying at La Roca Rara is its close proximity to lovely coves and beaches including La Herradura. Guests also enjoy the impressive caves at Maro and historic villages of Torrox and Frigiliana.
