Based within the astounding natural environment of the Cairngorm National Park, Lagganlia offers a range of courses, all of which offer real adventure in wild places. Whether a traditional multi activity week, a single activity skills development, an expedition or an achievement award, we offer high quality courses, with clear curriculum/Curriculum for Excellence experiences and outcomes, for school groups.
In the winter we operate a snowsports school using 3 nearby ski areas and our own large dry ski slope.
Flexibility is key – we can offer catered courses (for up to 125) using our large building (An Taigh Mór 58 beds) and our 5 forest lodges (sleeping 6 to 18), or self-catered courses for up to 92 using our lodges and camp huts.
Lagganlia is a residential centre that is part of the City of Edinburgh Council. We custom design courses based on your desired outcomes and most of our activities are off-site and led by mature and experienced multi-activity instructors who will lead their group of up to 10 students throughout their stay – a continuity that builds trust and aids student learning and development.
Our courses will enable you to explore/give depth to particular curriculum area/s, develop individual confidence, encourage teamwork or leadership or prepare for the school transitions.

We are based in unspoilt Glen Feshie, in the Scottish Highlands between Aviemore and Kingussie and are easily accessible by air, rail and road (A9).
