There are 4 pretty glades at Lahtle Wood, each with up to 4 pods, making this a great choice for an extended family get together or a reunion with a group of friends. Alternatively, hire the whole site for a big birthday celebration or youth event. The idyllic countryside setting encourages guests to learn to light a fire, cook on a camp grill and embrace outdoor living around a firepit. The Peewit and Pheasant pods are perfect for families with a double bed and bunks for the children. Owl and Woodpecker pods provide romantic boltholes for couples with a relaxing woodfired hot tub for each, in a beautiful setting by a wild flower meadow. Each pod has an al fresco kitchen, dining area and deck for outside living, cooking and eating. Alongside the pods is a private Scrub Shack bathroom with a wood fired boiler for hot water - no late night walks to shared facilities required. There's plenty of space for children and dogs to run around, with a play area and football goals to keep them entertained. If there's a large group, share supper at the barbecue hut and toast marshmallows for a novelty treat. The recent addition of Lahtle Grub means a home cooked pizza treat is also available on Saturday evenings in high season. If guests want to venture away from Lahtle Wood, there are many attractions within an easy car ride. A day at Scarborough or Filey Beach is great for families, a chance to blow away the cobwebs and give the dogs a good run. The walled city of York is a lovely destination, with fantastic Roman and Gothic ruins to explore as well as winding streets full of beautiful shops, bars and cafes. Or head to the North Yorkshire Water Park at Wykeham, Dalby Forest, Flamingo Land, Flamborough Head with caves to discover, or Bempton Cliffs Nature Reserve, for a family day out. ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** Dogs welcome but please keep on a lead and clear up after them. - **Hot Tub:** Owl and Woodpecker pods have wood fired hot tubs. - **WiFi:** Off grid site so no WiFi.
