The Lake District Bunk Barn is an exclusive use retreat created for groups seeking comfort, practicality and space to unwind after a day outdoors. Ideal for cyclists, walkers, friends and family gatherings, the barn provides a relaxed and welcoming base in the heart of the Lake District.

At the heart of the barn is a spacious open plan kitchen and dining area, fully equipped with modern appliances and generous preparation space. It is perfect for cooking together, sharing meals and mapping out routes for the days ahead. Adjacent to the kitchen is a stylish living area where guests can chat or simply rest tired legs after exploring the fells and valleys.

The accommodation includes 3 distinct bedrooms designed for flexible group stays. The Cosy Trio sleeps up to 3 guests with a double bunk on the lower level and a single above. The Quartet Quarters accommodates 4 guests and offers a comfortable space to relax and recharge. The Sixer Suite is the largest room, sleeping 6 guests in 3 bunk beds with ample room for gear. All rooms are simple, clean and thoughtfully arranged to suit active groups.

The barn is heated by an eco friendly biomass system that keeps the entire space warm while also providing plentiful hot water. A sustainable wood burning stove adds a welcoming glow and cosy atmosphere in the sitting area. Laundry facilities include a commercial size washing machine, making it easy to refresh wet kit.

Cyclists are well catered for, with a dedicated bike wash area beneath the bunkhouse, secure storage and a drying room. Outside, a gathering space with comfortable rattan seating provides a lovely setting in the fresh country air for a barbecue or evening drinks.

Located in Ings, the barn offers easy access to a wide range of cycling and walking routes suitable for all abilities. The surrounding area is known for its stunning landscapes including Blencathra and the Old Man of Coniston as well as Lake Windermere.
