Sleeps 2 to 600 in 134 woodland lodges. By booking direct we can ensure that groups are located in lodges that are close together. We can also organise group activities, conference facilities and group dining.

Located in the heart of England, our 134 luxury lodges are nestled within our 47 acres of woodland paradise and are furnished to the highest standard. Landal Darwin Forest is the perfect base for groups of friends, families, business team building events, reunions and activity holidays.

Our luxury lodges provide the perfect base for exploring the surrounding attractions or for simply relaxing in the tranquility of the park and enjoying time with friends and family. The Park boasts an impressive range of facilities including Evolution Health and Fitness Centre with a swimming pool, spa and gym, indoor games room, tennis court, cycle hire, orienteering course, mini golf and Little Monkeys indoor play centre. The Foresters bar and restaurant is a great place to enjoy a fantastic meal with friends and family. Landal Darwin Forest also offers on-site activities including archery, fencing, bodyzorbing, snorkelling and waterwalkerz.

The surrounding Peak District offers a full range of outdoor pursuits including clay shooting, walking, climbing, cycling, sailing, golf, 4 x 4 driving and horse riding.

Groups of up to 8 can choose to book a single lodge or larger groups can choose to book multiple lodges.

Pets

We have pet friendly lodges and miles of woodland walks. Charges apply.

Kitchen

All kitchens have a minimum of a conventional cooker, microwave oven, refrigerator and dishwasher.

Dining Room

Our open plan living spaces are perfect for groups. On site bar and restaurant seating 150.

Sitting Room

Comfortable seating for the whole group.

TV and Music Facilities

A flat screen television with Freeview, DVD and CD player (some lodges have a docking station) are provided for your entertainment.

Games Room

Our games room has pool tables, air hockey, table tennis and arcade machines.

Heating and Open Fires

Electric fires are located in the lodges.

Bedrooms

Lodges have between 1 and 4 bedrooms sleeping between 2 and 8 people. Doubles and twins in each.

Linen

Towels and linen included.

Bathrooms

Our 4 bedroom lodges have 2 bathrooms. Mixture of baths and showers. Our VIP lodges have all en suite bedrooms.

Children's Facilities

On site we have a huge indoor soft play centre, outdoor playground, games room, arcades, mini golf, cycle hire and miles of woodland walks.

Outdoor

Tennis court, mini golf, cycle hire, Trim Trak fitness course, children's play area, woodland walks. All lodges have verandahs with outdoor furniture.

Swimming Pool

Evolution Health and Fitness Centre boasts an indoor swimming pool, spa, gym and beauty rooms.

Parking

Each lodge is allocated 2 parking spaces. Additional parking is available in the main car park.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in the lodges or public buildings.

We are located a few miles from Matlock on the edge of the beautiful Peak District. Our central location in the Heart of England makes us the perfect place to enjoy a break with friends and family.

  • Matlock or Chesterfield.
  • East Midlands, Birmingham and Manchester are within easy reach.
  • Landal Darwin Forest is located on the B5057 between Matlock and Chesterfield, a few miles from Bakewell and Chatsworth House.
  • We have a shop on site that sells a range of essentials. There is a Sainsburys and Co-op in Matlock.
  • We have the Foresters bar and restaurant and the Explorers cafĂ© on site.
