Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends.
Le Manoir, Doumailhac, Limousin, France, sleeps 10-20 in 9 bedrooms.
A fantastic property in the heart of the beautiful Périgord-Vert Natural Park available for exclusive use for family holidays, group getaways, or retreats. Le Manoir is available for large families or groups of friends to share, allowing everyone to spend time together, but also enough space to allow some privacy.
The main house has 6 large and comfortable bedrooms, 4 with en suite bathrooms, and there are 3 further bedrooms, a bathroom and shower room in the adjacent Gite. Total sleeping capacity is 20 people plus cot/toddler space.
On the ground floor of the Le Manoir is a large kitchen with its original bread oven, flagstone floor and a kitchen table seating eighteen people. In addition there is a large sitting room, comfortably furnished with a large TV, iPod doc and a wood burning stove.
The property is private with parking in the front courtyard for several cars.
Le Manoir has 21 acres of pasture and woodland attached, as well as the “Circuit du Loup Garou” running along the bottom of the garden, so space for walking, biking, or horse riding. An early morning run is often highlighted by deer grazing or raptors hunting.
The large salt water swimming pool provides the perfect place to relax with a cool drink in the heat of the summer, and hear nothing but the sound of birdsong. There are sun loungers available to accommodate all the guests.
In the barn there is a table tennis table, badminton and a selection of bikes for guests to use.
This is an unspoilt region of rolling wooded countryside interspersed with numerous rivers and lakes. This beautiful area has been designated a Regional Park, yet you are only a few minutes' walk from a wonderful restaurant/bar. At night the Milky Way and a myriad of stars are often visible due to the minimal light pollution, making it an ideal venue for star gazing.
The property is centrally located between three historic cities Limoges, Angouleme and Perigreux, all great for history and shopping. The local weekly markets provide an excuse to browse and linger over coffee and the local chateaux are rich with Richard Lionheart folklore.
Adventurous cooks may like to try our original bread oven.
The weekly rental includes all the linen, utilities, cleaning and local taxes. Our changeover day is a Saturday, but we can be flexible. We require a £1000 deposit.
