Take to the water in a kayak to see them from a different angle, or step back and discover the entire valley from the panoramic views of Dome. Sarlat is another magnificent gem of the region and a centre of Perigord gastronomy, great for picking up something fresh for supper. The Lascaux Cave, discovered 80 years ago, is no longer open to the public, but at Lascaux IV you can see reconstructions of the prehistoric cave art and learn the story of the famous painted cavern.
