Bedrooms
The bedrooms have been named for the prominent families and individuals who have lived here and styled to match the era of their occupation. Four bedrooms have en suites, the other four are close to the castle's many bathrooms. Each bedroom is special in its own way and no-one will be disappointed. The Laird's room, our master bedroom, has a private spiral staircase, and a beautifully carved four poster. The medieval styled Bartholf Room is reminiscent of scenes in Game of Thrones. The 17th century themed Forbes Room has a box bed!
Weddings
We are now hosting weddings at the castle. Micro-weddings with up to 30 guests are our speciality and of course we could offer accommodation for up to 16 guests. The great hall, our spacious dining room and our teeny chapel are all possible locations to hold a ceremony. There are many places to take photographs, such as the ruined arch in the grounds and in the re-established rose garden.
Features
The castle boasts 2 usable fires, including in the great hall. We supply firewood for these to guests at no extra cost. There is complementary whisky, sherry and port in the great hall. The ante-room has a baby grand piano. The panelled 18th century dining room is large and seats 16 under normal circumstances. Seating can be increased for special events. The kitchen is also large and has a working Aga as well as more modern cooking facilities. The kitchen table seats 12. In the games room you can play, table tennis, pool and darts as well as dressing up in a collection of castle themed clothes!

The area is famous for golf, hiking and, of course, whisky! There are multiple places to satisfy the appetite for each of these locally. The castle backs directly onto the mountain known as Bennachie and is close to the Grampians for skiing and exploration of the Highlands.
