Little Gaerfields has been converted to 4 star gold accommodation from a 17th century barn that was once used to milk the cows in. Little Gaerfields sleeps up to 25 in 9 bedrooms with a mix 8 bathrooms, ensuites or wet rooms.
There is a wonderful mix of old and new making for a warm and cosy house perfect for parties. There are beamed ceilings and walls, lovely old stained glass, an inglenook fire place with wood burner, comfortable 6' zip and link beds, galleried landings, mezzanine floor, under floor heating and modern kitchen, which all gives a home of warmth and character, where you can have your own space as well as all sit and eat together. All 6' superking beds can be made up as singles. Walk the footpath to the local pub and and enjoy the views. Snooker table in the house and lots of room in the field to play football, cricket etc.
For smaller groups we can offer mid week bookings for 10+ people.
The farm has wonderful views of the Malvern Hills and Black Mountains and you are close enough to take a short drive to the Forest of Dean, which has lovely walks.
We offer guided "wild food" walks, where you can experience the foods cooked to perfection by our expert chef.
There is also available a shepherds hut with comfortable 4' 6" bed and en suite to use as an extra bedroom or enjoy the extra space. It's a lovely fun place to sleep.
Little Gaerfields is set on a family farm called Upperfields. Nestled on the Welsh borders and The Royal Forest of Dean there are lots of things to entertain the family within a very short distance. Enjoy the indoor swimming pool and swim jet or take a day out to see the Maze, Peregrine Falcons, Yat Rock or take a boat trip on the River Wye at Symonds Yat. A leisurely drive up through the Golden Valley to Hay-on- Wye (the famous second-hand and largest bookshop in the world) would make a memorable day out.
