The kitchen is well set up for groups, making cooking for 14 painless and actually pretty sociable. And it's always possible to ask about hiring in a private caterer for a special occasion. There's a comfy lounge area, with leather sofas, on the other side of the wood burner for after supper as well as the games room for downtime fun. The patio is perfect for morning coffee, afternoon tea or evening drinks and long conversations over a glass of wine. This house is all about the wonderful backdrop - a view that's good for the soul.

Bedrooms are spacious. The ground floor family room with ensuite wet room is ideal for anyone who might find the stairs a bit tricky. A combination of kings, a double and twins provide choice and privacy for guests who prefer not to share. The National Trust Plas Yn Rhiw is nearby, a lovely manor house attraction with formal gardens. Porth Neigwl, also known as Hell's Mouth Beach, is a definite must visit for a day at the beach and opportunities for surfing - this beach can be seen from the house. The quaint fishing village of Aberdaron is the start point for a regular boat service to Bardsey Island, to follow in the paths of the saints and experience amazing marine wildlife. Eryri, or Snowdon, can be reached in less than an hour for a walk up to the highest peak or to participate in thrill-seeking adventure activities.
