The Lodge is a Lutyens designed former gatehouse, offering luxury accommodation sleeping up to 9 people in 4 bedrooms, 2 are en-suite with 1 bedroom with en-suite situated downstairs, plus a separate bathroom. There is also a sofa bed in the main bedroom suitable for a small adult or child.
Home Farm is five-minutes walk away in the grounds Knowlton Estate and offers good comfortable farmhouse accommodation. Situated in the heart Knowlton Estate the property is enclosed by beautiful farm and park land. It sleeps up to 6 people in 3 double/twin bedrooms (your preference), plus two camp beds are available for extra small adults or children, two bathrooms, downstairs cloakroom, dining room with table to seat 10 (with sofa-bed), sitting room with 2 large sofas, TV/DVD. Fully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher plus also a washer/dryer machine and kitchen table to seat 6.
Both properties have been sympathetically modernised to retain their original characters and have everything you would need for a fantastic self-catering holiday.
There are shops in the villages of Eastry (2 miles), Wingham (3 miles). The championship golf courses of Royal St Georges and Princes are at Sandwich Bay, which also offers a sandy beach.
In addition to its beautiful Cathedral, Canterbury has a wealth of historic buildings, museums, the Marlowe Theatre and Kent County Cricket Ground. The award winning Howletts Zoo and Port Lympne are also just a few miles away along with Dover Castle.
